DSA VCI Cable Rental

What it is:

This is a specialized diagnostics and programming cable used to communicate between a Windows-based diagnostics application and your Ocean's on-board computer systems. One end of the cable plugs into the Ocean's OBD port (located in the driver footwell) and the other end plugs into a Windows-based laptop, which you will need to provide.  Specifications on the WDI-2 cable are available on the DSA product page HERE. The rental version is a fixed cable version, not the wireless version. 

Who needs this:

Rent this cable if you require more advanced system diagnostics and or programming of your Ocean's electronic control units (ECUs). If your qualified service technician or Ocean repair expert recommends a remote diagnostics session requiring a "VCI cable," then this is the cable that you are looking for.

How it works:

This cable connects your Ocean to a windows-based diagnostic software application to enable a diagnostics session with a service provider. To enable this communication, you will need to have on site at your Ocean:

• A strong, stable internet connection. 
• A Windows-based laptop with at least Windows 10.
• The laptop must have a USB-A port, or
• If the laptop only has USB-C, you will need a USB-A to USB-C adapter. 
  

The service provider you have booked will instruct you on connection, setup and assistance.

Terms & Pricing:

This is a two-week cable rental - the rental period starts once you received the cable, and ends when return shipping tracking information shows the cable is back in transit to Tsunami.

Please arrange a service appointment prior to renting this cable as delays between when you receive the cable and when a technician can remotely diagnose your vehicle may vary greatly. Price quoted above, is inclusive of (meaning you will not have to pay additionally for):

• A $500 security deposit which will be refunded upon receipt, inspection, and confirmation that the item has been returned in good condition. Repair or replacement fees may be deducted from the deposit and are assessed based solely on the inspection and evaluation of the returned item. 
• Pre-paid return shipping - Please retain and reuse all packaging materials for return shipment.
